Taiwan Showcases Quantum-Resilient Cybersecurity Innovations at Europe’s Leading Cyber Event, with the Digital Affairs Administration Leading a Delegation to the Netherlands’ ONE Conference and Cyber Security Week.
The Administration for Digital Industries (ADI) under Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs (moda) recently led a Taiwan delegation to the ONE Conference in the Netherlands — one of Europe’s most prestigious cybersecurity events, drawing participants from over 55 countries. For the first time, Taiwan shared its achievements in public-private collaboration on post-quantum cryptography (PQC), highlighting how the country is strengthening its cybersecurity resilience. The presentation enhanced Taiwan’s international visibility in the field of advanced cybersecurity.
During The Hague’s Cyber Security Week, ADI Director General Jiunn-Shiow Lin served as the first international representative to deliver a keynote address, marking a new milestone in Taiwan–Netherlands cybersecurity cooperation.
From September 29 to October 2, 2025, the Taiwan delegation — organized by ADI in collaboration with the Post-Quantum Cybersecurity Industry Alliance, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and the Institute for Information Industry (III) — included five cybersecurity companies: ASRock Industrial Computer Corp., AuthenTrend Technology Inc., Changing Information Technology Inc., Lydsec Digital Technology Co., Ltd, WiSECURE Technologies Corporation.
Founded in 2024, the Post-Quantum Cybersecurity Industry Alliance was established by ADI to strengthen Taiwan’s PQC capabilities, foster collaboration among government, academia, and industry, and accelerate the development of critical indigenous technologies. This year, Taiwan’s case study on public-private collaboration was selected from over 340 global submissions for presentation at the ONE Conference — a testament to the international recognition of Taiwan’s cybersecurity innovation and R&D capacity.
Beyond participating in the conference, the delegation also hosted the first-ever Taiwan–Netherlands Cybersecurity Roundtable as a side event, engaging key Dutch government and industry representatives — including the Ministry of Economic Affairs and The Hague Security Delta (HSD). The roundtable fostered in-depth discussions on cybersecurity policy, technology applications, and collaborative models, further strengthening Taiwan’s connections and cooperation opportunities with European partners.
During the visit, Director General Jiunn-Shiow Lin also met with the Mayor and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of The Hague, as well as officials from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Topsector ICT, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and the Netherlands Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NCC-NL), deepening bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity.
To support Taiwanese companies in exploring business opportunities in Europe, ADI also organized a Taiwan–Netherlands business matchmaking event, connecting Taiwanese firms with local system integrators, distributors, and potential clients — including Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways), ESET Netherlands, and BTG (Branchevereniging ICT en Telecommunicatie Grootgebruikers) — to expand Taiwan’s industry reach and partnerships in the European market.
This visit marks a key step in ADI’s efforts to help Taiwan’s cybersecurity industry “go global.” By engaging in international forums, hosting side events, and facilitating business matchmaking, ADI is enabling Taiwanese companies to gain insight into European market trends and potential partners. Looking ahead, ADI will continue to monitor EU cybersecurity policies and technological developments, actively building Taiwan’s reputation as a trusted international cybersecurity partner and promoting Taiwan’s cybersecurity solutions on the global stage.
