Vision Get Wild Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Expanded Scale and Joint Efforts to Cultivate Digital Talent
Taiwan’s leading digital content event, the 2025 Vision Get Wild (VGW), officially opened today (May 15) at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center and will run through May 17. Marking its 15th anniversary, this year’s VGW Award is co-hosted for the first time by the Administration for Digital Industries (ADI) and the Ministry of Education (MOE), reflecting a cross-ministerial commitment to digital talent cultivation.
The 2025 edition brings unprecedented scale and collaboration. International partners such as GNOMON (U.S. animation school), the Superhuman Sports Project from Japan, and Asia’s most influential indie game festival BitSummit join forces with over ten domestic digital content companies—including Brogent Technologies, So-net, Kaohsiung Film Archive, Grass Jelly Studio, MoonShine Studio, RENO Studios, Xanthus Animation Studio, and Timothy Motion—to curate exhibitions and enable meaningful technical exchange between academia, industry, and international communities.
At the opening ceremony, Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao (蕭美琴) noted the vibrant energy and creative potential demonstrated by participating youth, underscoring the importance of continued investment in emerging talent. She expressed appreciation to the Administration for Digital Industries, the Ministry of Education, and the Kaohsiung City Government for their long-standing commitment to digital talent development. Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao (蕭美琴) emphasized that youth development is a key focus of national policy, with the government actively promoting initiatives such as the “0–22 Future Generation Investment” strategy and the “Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative” aimed at providing robust support systems that empower young people with the confidence to step onto the global stage.
Deputy Minister Yi-Jing Lin (林宜敬) of the Administration for Digital Industries affirmed that talent cultivation remains a fundamental pillar in the development of Taiwan’s digital economy. Through the Vision Get Wild, ADI seeks to establish a comprehensive support mechanism—from competition to international outreach—that enables students and emerging teams to gain exposure, pitch their ideas to global experts, and explore investment opportunities. Deputy Minister Lin expressed hope that Taiwan’s youth will leverage the momentum of AI-driven transformation to expand their global outlook and pioneer innovative content formats, thereby advancing a sustainable ecosystem that links local creativity with global engagement. He also highlighted ADI’s continued investment in Kaohsiung’s CG ARK, where real-world industry simulations are integrated into training to ensure seamless alignment between education and workforce needs.
This year’s competition saw participation from 64 schools, 118 departments, and 1,245 entries. To further strengthen talent pipelines, ADI and MOE co-developed three major educational programs: the Education Showcase, International Workshops, and Skills Development Talks. These initiatives feature insights from leading experts, including representatives from Toei Animation, Blizzard Entertainment, and the Superhuman Sports Project, aiming to bridge the gap between education and employment by aligning with current industry trends. In addition, a briefing session on the Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative was held, where alumni shared experiences to encourage students to expand their international perspectives and enhance competitiveness.
Minister of Education Ying-Yao Cheng (鄭英耀) also remarked that the joint organization of this year’s VGW with ADI aims to empower creators to break free from traditional frameworks and fully unleash their creative potential. The VGW platform is not only a space for knowledge-sharing, but also a launchpad for young people to envision and shape the future through hands-on experience.
The 2025 Vision Get Wild brings together education, industry, and creative energy in a nationwide showcase of innovation. The public is warmly invited to visit the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from May 15 to 17 to experience the energy of creativity firsthand and witness young talents bringing their ideas to life.
