To accelerate development of the 5G network and assist telecommunications service providers in building 5G base stations more quickly in areas with strategic needs (such as metropolitan areas, public transportation hubs, airports, harbors, high speed railway, MRT, bus and train stations, large exhibition venues, stadiums, as well as other densely populated areas). "The 5G Network Construction Subsidy Plan" approved by the Executive Yuan subsidizes 5G network base station construction in both non-vertical  and 5G networks in vertical fields, as well as key areas of industrial development of the telecommunications industry with the aim of enhancing 5G coverage in Taiwan, creating a suitable environment for development of innovative 5G applications, realizing 5G applications such as smart healthcare and smart manufacturing, and allowing the public to enjoy improved 5G communications coverage and services.
